Maharaja Janak ploughed the field and got Sitaji, in other words the ‘Purushartha’ or the object of human pursuit is Janaki! Whom will you offer the fruit of your efforts, it should be offered to Truth.
Sita is the fruit of Janakraj’s effort of ploughing the field. You must have observed that the result of your material pursuits is that you have hardly moved from where you were or at the most you have just shifted a little bit! Maharaja Janak offered his ‘Purushartha’ to Dharma.
Shree Rama is the embodiment of Dharma and the act of ploughing is ‘Purushartha’. By offering it to Dharma means that your Karma should be directed towards the greater good or welfare!
