*कथा सूत्र*
*मनमाध्वगौडेश्वर वैष्णवाचार्य श्री पुंडरीक गोस्वामी जी महाराज*
*भाव का अंतर* गुरुदेव महाराज कहते हैं, भगवान तो साधारण वस्तु से भी प्रसन्न हो जाते हैं। अपनी भक्ति में भाव ज्यादा रखिए, साधन सरल भी चल जाएगा। इसका उद्देश्य भगवत स्वरूप होना चाहिए। दुर्योधन के छप्पन भोग ठुकरा दिए, ठाकुर जी ने और साग विदुर घर खायो रसिया। भगवान ने विदुर के घर का साग स्वीकार कर लिया। हमारे घर के माखन और गोपी के माखन में क्या फर्क है? केसर उसमें भी है, हमारे माखन में भी है। दूध उसका भी अच्छा है, हमारा भी अच्छा है। हमने भी मथनी से अच्छा मथा है, उसने भी मथनी से अच्छा मथा है, सामग्री का अंतर नहीं है, मन का अंतर है। हमने कामना में मथा है गोपी ने कृष्ण के प्रेम में मथा है। आपसे यह कहा जाए की 40 साल तक रोज मंदिर आओ, रोज बंगला बनाओ, रोज फूल चढ़ाओ, रोज माला चढ़ाओ, रोज पोशाक पहनाओ, पर एक बात पक्की है, आपकी कोई कामना पूरी नहीं होगी। हो सकता है दुनियादारी में थोड़ी गड़बड़ भी हो जाए, टाइम में इधर-उधर हो गए ,40 वर्ष तक खूब सेवा करो ठाकुर जी की। बहुत कुछ ही लोग होंगे जिनके मन में उत्साह रह जाएगा। अभी यह इसमें जोड़ दो कि चार परिक्रमा लगाने से लॉटरी का नंबर लग जाएगा। बस यहां तो दूर से ही पुकारो, प्रभु दौड़े चले आएंगे। फिर तो बिन जाने ना जाने भी लोग अपने आप भीड़ लगना शुरू कर देंगे।

The difference in attitude or approach
Guru Maharaj says that the Divine is pleased very easily. Let our devotion be filled with emotions without worrying so much about the means. Our objective should be the sake of the Divine.
Shree Thakurji preferred to have some leftover vegetables at Mahatma Vidur’s place leaving behind the grand feast offered by Duryodhana. What is the difference between the purified butter or Makhan offered by the Gopis in comparison to what we can offer? Maybe, both are laced with saffron and the milk in both the cases is pure. Both are well churned but there is a marked difference in the mental makeup in both the cases inspite of the ingredients being similar. Our churning is filled with desires whereas the Gopi churned with pure love for Shree Krishna.
If you are told that for 40 years go to the temple everyday, offer flowers and adorn the sanctum sanctorum with garlands, offer new dresses or Poshak daily, but bear in mind that this will not fulfill your desires. On hearing this, the majority of the people will be disheartened but a few will keep on doing it without any expectation only for the pleasure of God.
If you announce that perform 4 circumambulations and you will win a jackpot, an unmanageable crowd will gather.
So, true devotion is only for the Divine and nothing else!
