*कथा सूत्र*
*मन माध्वगौडेश्वर वैष्णवाचार्य श्री पुंडरीक गोस्वामी जी महाराज*
गुरुदेव महाराज कहते हैं ,कठोपनिष्द का सूत्र है, उसे परम सत्ता की प्राप्ति प्रवचनों से नहीं होगी, ना बुद्धि से होगी, ना बहुत ज्यादा सुनने से होगी, तो फिर, जब वह चाहेगा कि मैं मिलूं तब उसकी प्राप्ति होगी। क्योंकि अगर वस्तु किसी साधन के अधीन हो जाए, तो साधन उससे बड़ा है। जब वह चाहेंगे, सैकड़ो साधन कर लिए ,पर कुछ ना मिला और जब कुछ भी नहीं किया तो *पीछे पीछे हरि फिरें कहत कबीर कबीर*। यह तो उसकी मौज है, वह साधनों की अधीन नहीं है। कोई सोचता है कि हम यह विधि कर ले तो देवता हमारे अधीन हो जाएंगे। यह सबसे बड़ी मूर्खता है। आप क्या सोचते हो ,कि एक लोटा जल के कारण शिव पीछे-पीछे आएंगे। नहीं, चढ़ाने वालों ने सैकड़ो लोटा चढ़ा दिए, पर मुड़ के ना देखा। और मौज आ गई तो आंखों के शंख से एक अश्रु बहा और शिव नृत्य करने लगे।

Katha-Sutra:
Guru Maharaj explains the Sutra from ‘Kathopanishad’ which says that we cannot attain Him through ‘Pravachana’ or discourses, neither through knowledge nor through continuous hearing, but we can only attain Him when He pleases. Because, if anything is attainable through effort then the means become more important.
At times, people say that we have done so much but yet we could not attain Him, but when one has not done anything and if He wills then ‘Peechey peechey Hari phirey, kahat Kabir Kabir’. It is only and only His wish which is not controlled by any means. People think that if we do this we will get that or so and so Deva will do our bidding, it is the biggest mistake.
Do you think that the one who has the holy Ganga flowing down from His matted locks is thirsty for the pitcher of water that we offer? There are many who might have offered gallons of water but to no avail and some who have just offered tears of divine love and He danced in ecstasy.
