ज्ञान की परिभाषा सूचना इकट्ठा करना नहीं है। too much information का नाम knowledge नहीं होता। दुनिया का सबसे burning question है ‘Who are You?’ कितना जवाब दोगे? दुनिया का सबसे उपलब्ध व्यक्ति भी अगर अपना परिचय लिखनेको आए तो भी सौ शब्दों से ज़्यादा एक आर्टिकल नहीं लिख सकता। सबलिख लो उसके बाद एक समाप्ति आ जाएगी सीमित हो ही जाएगा।
जो सब जानता है उसको जान लेना ज्ञान है। सब जान लेना ज्ञान नहीं है। वास्तव में ज्ञान की परिभाषा ईश्वर को भी जानना नहीं है, ज्ञान की परिभाषा अपने को जानना है। how much you know about yourself?
भरी सभा में रावण ने हनुमान जी से पूछा- ए बानर! तू कौन है? हनुमान जी स्तब्ध रह गए कि वो कौन हैं मैं आंजनेय हूँ, मैं पवनपुत्र हूँ? नहीं। मैं इसके अलावा भी कुछ हूँ। तब भरी सभा में हनुमान जी ने कह दिया-
दासोऽहम् कौशलेन्द्रस्य
आप प्रकाल में शर्किल बनाते हैं तो ज्ञान उसको नहीं कहते कि प्रकाल में शर्किल कितना बड़ा बना?, आपने sercumsfrens कितना बड़ा खोला? sharpness of knowledge ये है कि आपने उसकी प्वाइंट को कहाँ टिकाया?
प्रकाल की नोक कहाँ टिका है? किसके चारो तरफ घूम रही है वो सुई? मजे की बात ये है नब्बे2 वर्ष तक लोग अपना प्रकाल ही नहीं टिका पाए। घूम तो रहे हैं पर प्रकाल नहीं टिकाए हैं।
साधु उसी को कहते हैं वो नहीं जो दिनभर हिमालय की गुफाओं में बैठा रहे, गुफा में उसका काम भी क्या है? साधु उसको कहते हैं जिसने साध लिया है प्वाइंट। अब वो घूमेगा चाहे बाजारों में, चाहे कहीं भी डोले, कहीं भी बैठ आए पर उसने साध लिया। प्रकाल का नोट टेक दिया बीच में।

The definition of ‘Gyan’ is not just gathering knowledge. Too much information is not knowledge. The most burning question facing the world is ‘Who are you’? How much can I answer? Even if the most popular person in this world is asked to talk about himself, he will not be able to write more than a hundred words. After writing everything, there will be a ‘full stop ‘ or there are limitations.
The one who knows everything, knowing Him is ‘Gyan’ or knowledge. Knowing everything cannot be knowledge. In fact, knowing God is also not the right definition of knowledge, knowing your own self is knowledge. How much do you know yourself?
In front of the entire court Ravana asked Shree Hanumanji; ‘Hey Baanar! Who are you?’ Hanumanji was perplexed at this question, am I ‘Aanjaneya or Pawan Putra’? No! I am also something beyond this. Hanumanji replied; ‘Daasoham Kaushallendrasya’|
When you draw a circle with the compass, then knowledge is not measuring the circumference of the circle? The expertise or the sharpness of knowledge is where have you placed the pointer? The funny thing is that for 90/100 years people are still struggling to place the pointer of the compass. People are trying to draw the circle without even placing the pointer.
The Sadhu is not one who sits in the Himalayan cave all the time, for this is not his job! Sadhu is one who has mastered the art of drawing a perfect circle by stationing the pointer at the right point. Now, he can roam around anywhere he wants or sit wherever he likes because he has cemented the base. The pointer of his compass is fixed!
