कथा कोई सीखने का विषय नहीं है ये तो अपने आप फूटती है जब श्रीगुरुकृपा होती है। श्रवण करो तो अपने आप कथा बहती है। जैसे कोई घड़ा हो उसको नल के नीचे धर दो ।भरते-भरते अगर नल बंल नहीं हुआ तो घड़ा पूरा भर जाएगा और नल फिर भी नहीं बंद हुआ तो फिर उसमें से छलकने लगेगा ऐसे ही

तुम रसिकों का संग करके अपनी अन्तसचेतना को भगवद् रस से भरते जाओ भरते जाओ। श्रवणम् पहली भक्ति है। भरते जाओ भरते जाओ तो एक दिन खुद ही जब तुम्हारे भीतर का घड़ा छलकेगा तो खुद कथा फूट पड़ेगी।

फिर चलना कथा होगी फिर सोना भी कथा होगी। दो प्रकार के लोग होते हैं एक जो कथा सुनते हैं एक जिनकी कथा होती है। मीरा केवल कथा सुनती तक नहीं रह गयी मीरा कथा हो गई। सूरदास कथा हो गए श्रीनित्यानन्द प्रभु कथा हो गए श्रीबलदेव विद्याभूषण कथा हो गए। शुकदेव जी भागवत् कथा के वक्ता नहीं हैं वो स्वयं भागवत् हो गए हैं।

Katha is not something to be learned; it springs forth on its own when Guru’s grace flows. When we are hearing, the Katha flows naturally, just like the water pouring in a pot placed under a tap. If the tap keeps running, the pot will get filled and eventually overflow.

By associating with the wise and cheerful beings, our inner consciousness is filled with the Divine Rasa. Listening (Shravanam) is the first form of devotion. Keep filling yourself with Bhagwad Rasa, one day, when your inner vessel overflows, the Katha emerges on its own.

At that point, even walking will become a Katha, and so will sleeping. There are two kinds of people; those who hear the Katha and those who become the Katha. Meera just didn’t hear the Katha, she became the Katha. Surdas became the Katha, Shree Nityananda Prabhu, Shree Baladeva Vidyabhushan became the Katha. Shukadevji Maharaj was not just the narrator of the Bhagavata, he became the Bhagavata himself.
