एक बार किसी ने प्रश्न किया महाभारत के युद्ध का अंतिम निर्णय कब हुआ? बड़ा विचारणीय प्रश्न है। महाभारत की कथा से तो सभी परिचित हैं।
युधिष्ठिर के राज्याभिषेक के बाद की कथा तो किसी को मालूम ही नहीं क्या हुआ। युधिष्ठिर को स्वर्ग मिला परिणाम स्वरुप युद्ध लड़कर उन सैनिकों को भी स्वर्ग की, बैकुंठ की, मोक्ष की चाहे जिसकी प्राप्ति हुई, कौरवों को भी उसी की प्राप्ति हुई। क्योंकि वह भी वीरगति को प्राप्त हुए।
तो निष्कर्ष महत्वपूर्ण नहीं था प्रक्रिया बड़ी थी। बल्कि दुर्योधन पहले पहुंचा स्वर्ग में।
फिर महाभारत के युद्ध का निर्णय कब हुआ? महाभारत का निर्णय न युद्ध में हुआ, ना युद्ध के बाद हुआ; महाभारत के युद्ध का निर्णय उसी दिन हुआ जिस दिन अर्जुन श्रीकृष्ण को ले आया और दुर्योधन श्रीकृष्ण की सेना को ले आया।
जब अर्जुन कृष्ण को लेकर लौटा तो माँ होने के बाद भी कुंती ने अर्जुन को प्रणाम किया। बोली- मैं पुत्र को नहीं, पुत्र के उस निर्णय को प्रणाम कर रही हूंँ जिसने द्वार पर जगदीश को खड़ा कर दिया।
एक व्यक्ति नंबर में फंस गया, एक तरफ एक थे, एक तरफ एक लाख अक्षुणी सेना थी। अक्सर हम नंबर्स में फंस जाते हैं। इसलिए मनी और रिसोर्स दोनों को अर्थ कहा है।
जब एक लाख अक्षुण्णी सेना को लेकर दुर्योधन पहुंचा तो शकुनी मामा ने भी उसको धिक्कार दिया कि अरे मूर्ख! ये तु क्या करके आया है? वह अकेला निहत्था होते हुए भी अद्भुत है। एकमात्र कृष्ण ही है जब वह सामने आकर खड़े हो जाते हैं तो मेरी भी बुद्धि कम नहीं करती।

Once, someone asked, “When was the final outcome of the Mahabharata war decided?” It is a very profound question. Most people are familiar with the story of the Mahabharata.
However, very few people know what happened after Yudhishthira’s coronation? In the end, Yudhishthira attained heaven, and as a result, so did the warriors who fought in the war—whether they were from the Pandavas’ or Kauravas’ side. Even Duryodhana reached heaven because he died a warrior’s death.
Thus, the outcome was not as significant as the process itself. In fact, Duryodhana reached heaven much before the Pandavas.
So, when was the real outcome of the Mahabharata war decided? It was not during the war nor after it. The decision was made on the very day Arjuna chose Shree Krishna, while Duryodhana chose Krishna’s army.
When Arjuna returned with Shree Krishna, his mother Kunti bowed to him, inspite of she being his mother. She said, “I do not bow to my son, but to the decision he made that placed the Lord of the Universe at his doorstep.”
One man got caught in numbers—on one side was a single man, and on the other was a vast army of a hundred thousand soldiers. Often, we too get caught up in numbers, which is why both money and resources are called ‘wealth.’
When Duryodhana returned with Krishna’s vast army, even his uncle Shakuni rebuked him, saying, “You Fool! What have you done? That lone, unarmed man is extraordinary! Krishna alone is enough, for when He comes before me, even my intellect fails me.”
