जीवन में आनंद का आना ही कृष्णचंद्र का आना है। जहाँ सुख होता है वहाँ दुख होने की संभावना होती है, जहाँ हर्ष होता है वहाँ शोक होने की संभावना होती है। पर जहाँ आनंद होता है वहा कुछ और हो ही नहीं सकता। जहाँ आनंद है वहाँ आनंद ही है।
आनंद का अर्थ क्या है हंसना?नहीं, आनंद का अर्थ है रोना? ऐसा भी नहीं, आनंद का अर्थ है जगना या सो जाना ऐसा भी नहीं। इन सब वह क्रियाओं से आनंद का कोई संबंध नहीं है।
बड़ी गंभीरता से एक बात कहता हूंँ जब इनमें से कुछ नहीं होता तब जो होता है उसको आनंद कहा जाता है। सुख-दुख समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ।।
किसी साधु से पूछो सुख हुआ? नहीं, दुख हुआ? नहीं। गहरी नींद नहीं आई, लंबा बहुत नहीं सोया पर कैसा सोया? बहुत जोरदार। अभी गया था और अभी उठकर आ गया। न हर्ष हुआ, न शोक हुआ।
नाऽहम् वर्णी…. जब कुछ नहीं होता तब जो उसका मूल स्वरूप है वह आनंद है वह आनंद ही साकार चैतन्य का रूप धारण करके श्रीकृष्ण के रूप में प्रकट होते हैं।

The experience of Anand in life is the advent of Lord Krishna. Where there is pleasure, there is a possibility of pain. Where there is happiness, there is a possibility of sorrow. But where there is true bliss, nothing else can exist. Where there is bliss, there is only bliss or Anand.
What is the meaning of bliss? Is it laughing? No. Is it crying? Not that either. Is it being awake or asleep? Not even that. Bliss has nothing to do with any of these actions.
Let me say something very seriously: when none of these things are happening, what remains—that is called bliss.
“Sukh-dukh samey kritva labhaalabhau jayaajayau…”
(Treating pleasure and pain, gain and loss, victory and defeat alike…)
Ask a saint: Did you feel happiness? No. Did you feel sorrow? No. Didn’t sleep deeply, didn’t sleep for too long—but how was the sleep? Very refreshing. Just went to sleep and woke up right away. No joy, no sorrow.
“Naaham varni…”
(“I am beyond description…”)
When nothing else is happening, what remains is the true essence of bliss. That very bliss takes the form of living consciousness and manifests as Lord Krishna.
