भागवत जी के मंगलाचरण के दूसरे श्लोक का सार है कि मनुष्य को अपने परम धर्म का ज्ञान हो जाए। यह परम धर्म क्या है।
जैसे एक इंसान पुरुष बना है तो यह पुरुष धर्म का पालन करेगा, और अगर कोई स्त्री बनी है तो स्त्री धर्म का पालन करेगी। यह स्त्री धर्म क्या है, सबसे पहले वह पुत्री बनी है, तो उसका है पुत्री धर्म, उसके बाद वह विद्या ग्रहण करने जाती है, तो उसके पास है विद्यार्थी धर्म, फिर उसकी शादी होती है और वह बनती है पत्नी, फिर उसका धर्म होता है पत्नी धर्म। यह परिस्थिति धर्म है, यह थोड़ी-थोड़ी देर बाद बदलता रहता है। इन सब के बाद एक आता है जीव धर्म। आतिथ्य का अपना धर्म है अतिथि का अपना धर्म। ना पुरुष का, स्त्री का, ना माता का, पिता का ,ना बंधु का ,ना राष्ट्र का ना भारत का, यह सब धीरे-धीरे ऊपर पड़ी हुई सतहें है इन सब के मूल में आप कौन हो। आप जीव हो, उस जीव का भी कोई धर्म होगा, वह जीव पशु बनकर, पक्षी बना, मानव बन के मानवी बना, यह उसके प्रारब्ध पर निर्भर करता है। अगर वह पुरुष बना तो पुरुष धर्म का पालन करता है, अगर पुरुष में भी पुत्र है, तो पुत्र धर्म का पालन करेगा ।अगर पिता बना तो पितृ धर्म का पालन करेगा, और अगर दादा नहीं बन पाया तो दादा धर्म का पालन करने की आवश्यकता नहीं पड़ेगी। पहले ही मानव शरीर छूट गया एक मूलभूत जीव का धर्म है, वह जीव एक यात्रा में है, जो संसार की यात्रा है। जैसे आसमान से गिरी हुई पानी की बूंद यात्रा में होती है, चाहे वह किसी भी जगह गिरे, नाली पोखर, तालाब, कहीं से भी घूमती घूमती किसी न किसी नहर से घूमती घूमती छोटी-छोटी पर्वत से, नाली से बड़ी नहर में, बड़ी नहर से बड़ी नदी में, बड़ी नदी से और बड़ी नदी में, और बड़ी नदी से फिर और बड़े समुद्र में। जैसे पानी की एक बूंद एक लंबे समुद्र की यात्रा करती है, ऐसे ही एक जीव जो पानी की बूंद की तरह ही है। देखा जाए, तो शरीर था भी क्या, पिता के शरीर में दौड़ रही जल की बूंद ही था, एक जीव जो पानी की बूंद के समान है। वह भी अलग-अलग जन्म लेता हुआ इतने घाटों से गुजरा हुआ साक्षात परमात्मा के महासमुद्र में मिलने की अपेक्षा करता है। यह भी एक सफर ही है। इस जीव का परम धर्म क्या है। दुनिया में दो तरह की सोच है एक होती है प्रक्रिया और एक होता है परिणाम। एक तो यह विचारधारा है कि जो करना है कर लो हमें आनंद आना चाहिए, परिणाम चाहे जो भी हो किसने देखा है। दूसरा है जिसे कल्याण कहते हैं। गुरुदेव कहते हैं इसका मतलब है प्रक्रिया में कोई प्रॉब्लम नहीं है, प्रक्रिया हो सकता है कि तकलीफ दे हो पर परिणाम सही होना चाहिए ।प्रक्रिया में चाहे कष्ट उठाना पड़े परिणाम में हमारे जीवन में आनंद होगा।

Shrimad Bhagavat Katha – Indore
The essence of the second verse of the Mangalacharan of the Shrimad Bhagavat is
that the human beings should know their Supreme Dharma.
Now, what is this Supreme Dharma?
When a person is born as a man, he follows the dharma of a man.
When one is born as a woman, she follows the dharma of a woman.
When the girl child is born as a daughter, then she has the dharma of a daughter.
Then she goes to acquire education and follows the dharma of a student.
When she is married and becomes a wife, then she has the dharma of a wife.
These are all situational dharmas.
They keep on changing from time to time.
Beyond all of these, there is another dharma, the Jiva Dharma.
The host has his dharma while the guest has his dharma.
This dharma is not of man or woman,
not of mother or father,
not of relative or nation,
not of India or any country.
All these are layers placed upon us as we grow.
At the very core lies the question: Who are you?
You are a Jiva.
The Jiva has its own dharma.
The living being may become an animal, a bird, or a human, this depends on Prarabdha.
If one becomes a man, he follows the dharma of a man. As a son, he follows the dharma of a son. When he becomes a father, he follows the dharma of a father.
At the root, the human being has a fundamental dharma.
We all are on a journey traversing through the world.
Just like a drop of rain that falls from the sky is on a journey.
No matter where it falls; into a drain, a pond, or a lake, it keeps moving,
from the small streams to canals,
from canals to rivers,
from rivers to larger rivers,
and finally into the vast ocean.
Just as a tiny drop of water undertakes a long journey to the ocean,
so also the living being.
We are just like this tiny drop of water. Taking different births,
passing through countless shores, the Jiva merges into the Great Ocean of the Divine.
This is our journey.
Now the question arises that what is the Supreme Dharma of the living being?
There are two types of thinking.
One is process-oriented and the other is result-oriented.
One ideology says:
Do whatever you wish, you should feel happy.
Who has seen the result anyway?
The other is Kalyan or welfare.
Gurudev says that the process may be difficult,
but it must be flawless.
The process may be painful,
but the result must be right.
If we endure hardship in the process,
without worrying about the result,
our life will be blissful.
