इससे पहले पद पदावली तो थी, श्रीनाम कीर्तन नहीं था। जैसे पूज्य श्रीमीराबाई जी ने खूब पद लिखे। भक्ति की अधिष्ठात्री से मीराबाई, क्या कहना उनका। यह धरती श्रेष्ठ है जहाँ स्वयं श्री मीराबाई जी प्रकट हुई हैं। चाहे अष्ट सखाओं की छाप हुई, सबकी पद पदवालियां पर
जो शुद्ध हरिनाम संकीर्तन, जिसमें श्रीनाम को दोहराने की आज्ञा है; यह प्रणाली श्रीचैतन्य महाप्रभु जी के द्वारा विश्व को दी गई। इस प्रकार आपसे निवेदन किया आज इस जगत में राधारानी की महिमा लोग जान रहे हैं इसका पहला श्रीगणेश श्रीगौरांग ने किया है। इसी प्रकार से आज जिस वृंदावन में आप प्रवेश कर रहे हैं वृंदावन का विश्व में परिचय श्री चैतन्य महाप्रभु जी ने कराया है।

Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu traveled far and wide, spreading the divine name everywhere. In every tradition where the chanting of the holy name ‘Sri Naam Sankirtan’ is taking place, there is, in some way, the presence, experience, illumination, and inspiration of Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Before this, there were devotional hymns or ‘Pada-Padavali’, but the collective chanting of the holy name, ‘Sri Naam Sankirtan’ was not prevalent. For example, revered Saint Mirabai composed many devotional hymns. Mirabai is a supreme devotee and an embodiment of devotion, her greatness is beyond words. This land is blessed to have been graced by her presence. Similarly, the ‘Ashta Sakhas’ composed devotional hymns, and their Padavalis became well-known.
However, the pure chanting of the holy name ‘Shuddha Harinaam Sankirtana’, which involves the repeated recitation of the Lord’s name and was introduced to the world by Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Therefore, I say this with utmost humility that today, people recognize the Divine glory of Shree Radha Rani and it was Shree Gauranga who first revealed it. Likewise, the world came to know about Shreedham Vrindavan only through the efforts of Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu!
