To believe this temporary world as permanent is a real problem. Treating something temporary to be permanent is a big problem. The essence of all the Gyan, Bhakti and Vairagya is only this. This understanding will ease out all Bhajan, Bhakti, behavior or conduct and all the popular customs or traditions.
Please understand one thing clearly that you are living in the world of Shree Thakurji. If you have this feeling that you are living in your world then this is Moha or delusion, ignorance, this is inadvertance and is utter despair. If one understands this clearly then, inspite of you being a tenant, you can live as if you are the owner, use all the amenities, can come and go freely without becoming the owner. The owner will always remain the owner.

Believing the unreal to be real is a problem! Sometimes, there is a bright sunshine in one’s life and darkness in another’s. Today, the one you consider to be going downhill might rise upto great heights tomorrow. The one who’s life appears to be ordinary whose birth seems very ordinary, at the time of his death people realize the greatness or how extraordinary the life has been!
So, live like a tenant in this temporary world, and on the death;
‘Woh leta tha zameen per, loga kahattey tthey mara gaya|
Woh bechaara tha safar mein, aaj apney ghar gaya||’

अस्थायी संसार को स्थायी मान लेना ये समस्या है। something which is temporary उसको permanent मान लेना ये समस्या है। सारे ज्ञान भक्ति और वैराग्य का एक ही आधार है इतनी सी बात पकड़ में आ जाए तो आपके लिए भजन, भक्ति, व्यवहार, लोकाचार सब आसान हो जाएगा।
एक बात समझ लीजिएगा कि आप श्रीठाकुरजी के संसार में रह रहे हैं। आप अगर ये विचार करोगे कि हम अपनी दुनिया में रह रहे हैं यही मोह है, अज्ञान है, यही प्रमाद है, यही विषाद है और इतनी सी बात आ जाए, तुम मालिक की तरह स्थान का प्रयोग कर सकते हो किराया देकर रह सकते हो कहीं भी आ जा सकते हो पर मालिक का स्थान नहीं ले सकते। मालिक मालिक ही रहेगा।

अस्थायी जगत को स्थायी रूप स्वीकार करना समस्या है। कभी किसी के जीवन में सबेरा है तो कभी किसी के जीवन में अंधेरा है। आज आप जिसको पतनशील मान रहे हो पता नहीं वही कल कितना उन्नत हो सकता है। जीवन जिसका सामान्य दिखे ,जन्म जिसका सामान्य दिखे उसकी असमान्यता कई बार मृत्यु के समय प्रतीत हो जाती है।
इसलिए अस्थायी संसार में अस्थायी होकर जियो। और जब एक दिन प्राण छूटे तो
एक व्यक्ति लेटा जमीं पर, लोग कहते मर गया है
वो बेचारा था सफर पर, आज तो लौट घर गया है।
यही उसका स्वरूप है।
