हम किसी भी सूत्र से किसी दूसरे के जीवन का अवलोकन ना करें, प्रत्येक सूत्र से अपने ही जीवन का अवलोकन करें। कोई पूछ ले की माला लेकर चलते हो जपते भी हो कि सिर्फ रखे ही हो? इस पर विचार की आवश्यकता है।

नारायण कवच में पाखंड से भी निवृत्ति के लिए कहा है। पाखंड भी एक बहुत बड़ी विपत्ति है। यह सब धन, अर्थव्यवस्था सब प्रारब्ध के अधीन है। यह बात तो शास्त्र सम्मत है।

हानि लाभ जीवन मरण यश अपयश विधि हाथ।।

हम प्रारब्ध से प्राप्त वस्तु को सेवा के रूप में स्वीकार करके भगवान को समर्पित कर दें। अनावश्यक वैराग्य भी समस्या है। भक्ति तो विशुद्ध है। ज्ञान को प्रतिष्ठा पाना आसान है,वैराग्य को भी प्रतिष्ठा पाना आसान है पर केवल विशुद्ध भक्ति को पचा लेना बड़ी कठिन बात है।

Do not observe someone else’s life through any means; instead, use every method to observe your own life. If someone asks whether you are truly chanting with the prayer beads you carry or just keeping them with you, it is something worth reflecting upon.

In the Narayan Kavach, it is mentioned that one should also be free from hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is a significant problem. All of this—wealth, the economy—is subject to fate. This is in accordance with the scriptures:

Loss and gain, life and death, fame and disgrace are all in the hands of fate.

We should accept whatever is given to us by fate as a form of service and dedicate it to God. Unnecessary renunciation is also a problem. Devotion is pure. It’s easy to gain prestige through knowledge and even through renunciation, but it is very difficult to truly absorb pure devotion.
