Pundrik Ji Sutra 09-10-2023

II Shree Radharamanno Vijayatey II

What is the actual meaning of ‘Shishyatva’ or discipleship? First of all, the disciple has to be keen to learn or must be a ‘Jigyasu’! A ‘Jigyasu’ is –

My Maharajshri whenever he had to go out and if he would feel thirsty then he would say, just give me a glass of water and then he would say that keep 10/12 bottles in the car.

In those days, one would not find so many amenities on the way. He would say that if on the way I feel thirsty then atleast water will be there. Even if one is feeling hungry and the destination is still far away then a few sips of water will keep one going. Atleast keep 5/7 bottles of water.

This is the difference between a question and a ‘Jigyasa’. This is the difference between knowing or enquiry. The questioner will consume only that much as there is in the glass. If my thirst is only one glass of water then I will be satisfied with just one glass of water. But the ‘Jigyasu’ will get 10/12 bottles kept like Guru Maharaj!

The desire or curiosity which has cropped in the mind is not the only one question in his mind. Whatever has been the demand or enquiry continues to be there. What should be the constant question in the mind of the disciple?

For the disciple living in the world must have this constant thirst because he knows that it maybe the thirst is quenched now but after a while he will again become thirsty in an hour’s time, at that point he needs to have water handy or even after four hours the water must be available.

In the same way, in this wandering world, one question should always be in the mind of an aspirant and what is that…..

‘Hum tumharey tthey Prabhuji, hum tumharey hain,
Hum tumharey hee rahengey o merey priyatam…’

II Param Aaradhya Poojya Shreemann Madhva Gaudeshwar Vaishnavacharya Shree Pundrik Goswamiji Maharaj II
