*मनमाध्वगौडेश्वर वैष्णवाचार्य श्री पुंडरीक गोस्वामी जी महाराज*
गुरुदेव महाराज कहते हैं कि जब राधा रमण मंदिर जाएं, तो ध्यान से देखें, उसके मुख्य द्वार पर जहां से हम प्रवेश करते हैं वहां ठीक द्वार पर दो लोगों छड़ी लेकर खड़े हैं। सामान्य लोगों को लगता है की जय, विजय पार्षद हैं ।जय विजय पार्षद भगवान के द्वार पर होते ही हैं। पर आज से सैकड़ो वर्ष पहले जब इस दिव्य मंदिर का निर्माण हुआ, पर उसे समय जिन लोगों ने राधा रमण जी के समर्पित होकर लखनऊ के नवाब के बहुत बड़े पद पर आसीन जन जो राधा रमण जी के परम भक्त परम भक्त थे। शाह परिवार के थे। उनका नाम लाल नाम था कुंदन लाल फुंदन लाल शाह। तब आप लोगों ने समर्पित भाव से जहां राधा रमण जी इस समय बैठे हैं, उस स्थान का निर्माण किया। गुरुदेव कहते हैं कि लोग मंदिरों में बंगले बनवा कर नीचे इतने बड़े-बड़े अक्षरों में अपना नाम लिखवा देते हैं। उन्होंने इतनी बड़ी सेवा करी फिर भी नाम नहीं लिखा। पर फिर भी गोस्वामीजन की आज्ञा से कि आपने इतनी बड़ी सेवा करी है, तो उन्होंने कहा कि हमें ठाकुर का द्वारपाल बनकर खड़ा कर दीजिए। महाराज श्री कहते हैं कि क्या उनके भाव होंगे, क्या उनकी सेवा होगी, जो हमारे राधा रमण जी इस समय वहां विराजमान है।

Guru Maharaj says that when you go to Shree Radha Ramanji’s temple, see carefully, at the entrance as you enter, you will notice two gatekeepers standing holding a stick in their hands.
Ordinarily, people think that they are Jai and Vijay, who stand as the security of Shree Hari guarding the gates of Heaven.
Ages ago, when Shree Radha Raman temple was being built, Shri Kundan Lal and Fundan Lal Shah, who were part of the Nawab of Lucknow’s council of ministers, were instrumental in its construction.
These days, people build huge mansions and get their names engraved, but here these devoted souls in spite of doing this great sewa, chose obscurity.
When the Goswamis insisted upon declaring their identity, they agreed to stand as guards of the shrine.
