II Shree Radharamanno Vijayatey II

II Jai Gaur II

Wealth has a significant flaw in that it tends to be showy. Wealth often gets displayed, and when it is displayed, it somewhere reinforces pride and gives a false sense of happiness. This is its nature.

When wealth is displayed, it causes others to feel a sense of deprivation and when someone else feels that way, wealthy derive pleasure from their sense of superiority. As the poet says; ‘The lack in others affirms one’s own nature.’

However, this happiness lasts only as long as they perceive their deprivation. As soon as their desire is fulfilled, the happiness from that possession ends, and people seek to display something else that other people don’t have.

This is the nature of wealth, it is exhibitionary. But a devotee is not an exhibitionist; he seeks God realization. They naturally discard what is unnecessary from their life. They become free from desires for external objects.

‘Annyabhilashitaa shoonyam’. This is their divinity.
