Pundrik Ji Sutra 21-07-2023

||Shree Radharamanno Vijayatey||

When a person takes beggary or ‘Bheekh’, he/she thinks of the wealthy person but while accepting alms or ‘Bhiksha’, the receiver thinks about the Divine. The giver has to charitable in nature at the same time the mental disposition of the receiver also needs to be understood. When a poor man will beg, he will look for a rich man and go to him and beg. Even in a crowd, he will try and see if he can spot a wealthy person from whom he can expect to get something! He will make an effort to locate this person and go to him!

The receiver has to be very clever and must know the art of begging. When a person goes around in tatters and is under nourished, people will call him and try to help by giving something!

So, when a person begs and gets Maundy-Money in return, he thinks about the rich man but while accepting alms, the individual thinks of the Almighty! His eyes will be probing in a large crowd if he can spot a Godly person, who is capable of giving alms. The alms can only be given by a virtuous or a pious Godly person.

If the one who is giving will think about God as the giver, then automatically the receiver will think of God while accepting!
