गुरुदेव महाराज कहते हैं, कि वह सनातन धर्मी ही कैसा, जिस काम से कम 100 200 श्लोक ना आते हों ।सिख परंपरा में ऐसा कोई भी नहीं है ,जिसमें कम से कम ग्रंथ साहब का कुछ प्रवेश न हो। इस्लाम का मानने वाले भी तीन चार पांच आयते पढ़कर कुरान के विषय को अच्छे से जानते हैं ।यह हम सबका दुर्भाग्य है कि सनातन धर्मियों की दिनचर्या में 18 पुराणों का नाम भी कंठस्थ नहीं होगा। हम कैसे धर्मी हैं,जो अपने धर्म से ही परिचित नहीं हैं ।यहां तक कि चार वेदों के नाम में भी भ्रम होता है। सनातन धर्मी, अपने आप को हिंदू कहने वाले के जीवन में केवल एक ही चीज हिंदू है। वह है हिंदी में उसका नाम। ना वस्त्र रह गए जो भारतीय हैं। ना वचन शुद्ध हिंदी बोल दो तो सामने वाला कहता है कि वह कौन सी एलियन भाषा बोल रहे हो। ना भजन 25 प्रकार के doughnut का नाम बच्चों को जरूर पता होगा, पर सच बात है 20 प्रकार की मिठाइयों का नाम अगर कोई भी गिन दे तो दुर्लभ है।

Katha-Sutra:
Guru Maharaj says that if one says that he is a Sanatani and does not even know a few shlokas, he doesn’t qualify as a Sanatan Dharmi. The Sikhs at least can recite a few Shabads of Shree Guru Grantha Saheb and the Muslims recite a few kalmas of the Quran Sharif. It is unfortunate that people following the Sanatan Dharma do not know the names of the 18 Puranas. What sort of Dharma do we follow if we are ignorant about it? People even get confused about the 4 Vedas. Surprisingly, the Hindu’s can at least write their name in Hindi. Their dressing has also become westernized. If someone speaks literal Hindi, people think that which alien language is he speaking? The tragedy is that the children remember different types of donuts but don’t know the names of Indian sweets.
