*मनमाध्वगौडेश्वर वैष्णवाचार्य श्री पुंडरीक गोस्वामी जी महाराज*
गुरुदेव महाराज कहते हैं कि दया का मतलब यह नहीं है कि उसको भूख लगी है तो खिला दिया, जरूरी है। चोट लगी है, सेवा कर दी, जरूरी है। पर सबसे बड़ी दया जीव के प्रति यही हो सकती है, कि यह जीव जो संसार में भटक गया है, जैसे गईया चरने गई हो और एकदम ग्वाले से बिछड़ जाए उसको कितना भी खिला दो, शांति नहीं पड़ेगी। शांति सिर्फ उसे अपने ही घर जाकर पड़ेगी। ऐसे ही जीव जो सब जगह भटक गया है, जीव के प्रति दया ही तब हो सकती है, जब कृष्ण नाम का दान करके उसे मदन मोहन से जोड़ दिया जाए।

Guru Maharaj says that compassion is merely not feeding the hungry. If you assist someone who is injured, it should be done but compassion is not limited to just this. The true compassion is trying to help the one who is lost in this wonderland of the world back to God. Just like a cow lost in the forest is restless till such time it does not reunite with the herd. In the same way the Jeeva is lost in the world and he should be given the ‘Krishna-Naam’ and united with Shree Madan Mohan.
