गोपियां सारे ब्रज में हा कृष्ण, हा कृष्ण, करके रोती हुई घूमती है। यशोदा मैया कृष्ण का स्वागत करती है। अपनी दिव्य साड़ी के आंचल से श्री कृष्ण के माथे पर लगी हुई रज को पोंछ करके जाती हैं। तो कृष्ण अंगमिश्रित रज यशोदा मैया के फर्श पर फैल जाती है। राधा रानी के श्री अंग के जितने भी रोम है, वह सब पीपिलकाएं, चेतियां बनकर वहां प्रकट हो जाते हैं। और कृष्ण अंगगंध मिश्रित रज को हाथ में उठाकर के नंद महल से बाहर ले जाते हैं। जब किशोरी जी अपने आंचल को लहराती है, तो उससे ऐसी माल्याचल पवन उत्पन्न होती है, कि उन पीपिलकाओं के हाथ से वह दिव्यरज छूट करके किसी न किसी कमल के ऊपर चिपक जाती है। जब भंवरें गूंजयमान होकर कमल का आग्रहण पीने के लिए उस दिव्य कमल पर बैठते हैं, तो उनके चरणों पर वह दिव्य रज चिपक जाती है। तब रुदन करती हुई गोपियां जब कृष्ण कृष्ण पुकारती जाती है, और उनके आंसू उनके कंठ में पड़ी हुई दिव्यमाला पर चिपकते हैं और भंवरो को लगता है कि इस खिले हुए कमल से उस पुष्प पर मकरंद ज्यादा है, तो वह कमल के फूलों को छोड़कर उड़ते हुए गोपियों की दिव्यमाला के ऊपर गूंजयमान होते रहते हैं। *उनके चरणों पर चिपकी हुई रज जब गोपी के श्वास के आवर्त पर जब घूमती है, तो उनकी नासिका में घुसकर हृदय की ज्वाला को ऐसे भड़का देती है कि जब गोपी बोलती है तो गोपी गीत का प्राकट्य होता है*

The appearance or manifestation of Gopi Geet
The Gopis of Vrindavan are roaming all around weeping and calling, ‘Ha Krishna! Ha Krishna!’ Mata Yashoda is waiting to welcome Shree Krishna. As He enters, she wipes the the ‘Braj-Rujja’ from His forehead with the edge of her sari. The Divine dust from the Lord’s body falls and spreads all over the courtyard of ‘Shree Nand Bhavan’. Each and every pore of Shree Radha Rani turn into tiny ants and crawl all over the place. These ants carry the Divine dust out of the ‘Nand-Mahal’ into Braj. When Shree Kishoriju waves her ‘Anchal’ or ‘Pallu’, it creates the ‘Malayachal’ or the breeze coming from the Malaya mountain ranges which carries this Divine dust from the hands of the ants and sticks on the petals of the blooming Lotus. Then the bumblebees hover around these Lotus and as they alight on them, this ‘Rujja’ sticks to their feet.
When the weeping Gopis crying out for Shree Krishna pass that way the tears flowing down their cheeks trickle down on the garland of Lotus flowers they are wearing. Seeing this, the bumblebees feel that instead of this Lotus, the ones in the garland are much better and they rush in swarms all around.
The Divine dust which was stuck to their feet from those flowers mixes with the tears laden lotus of the garland and when the Gopis sigh, it enters their nostrils which fans the pangs of seperation burning in their hearts and flow out in the form of Gopi Geet!
This is one interpretation of its manifestation!
