*मनमाध्वगौडेश्वर वैष्णवाचार्य श्री पुंडरीक गोस्वामी जी महाराज*
गुरुदेव महाराज कहते हैं, कि किसी दूसरे के जीवन में आपका काम की कोई वस्तु है, तो वह उसकी बुद्धि है। अगर आपके काम में किसी दूसरे की कोई वस्तु काम आ सकती है, तो वह उसकी बुद्धि है, जो आपके काम आ सकती है। किसी का धन आप ले लोगे, तो उसके धन को संभालने की बुद्धि आपमें नहीं होगी तो दो-चार वर्ष में बर्बाद हो जाएगा। किसी का यश आप ले लोगे पर उसे यश को संभालने की बुद्धि नहीं होगी, तो खोपड़ी पर चढ़ जाएगा। धन तो पुश्तैनी नहीं भी मिल सकता है, पर बुद्धि नहीं मिल सकती। यश तो पुश्तैनी भी मिल सकता है, पर बुद्धि नहीं मिल सकती। पुलत्सय के घर भी रावण पैदा हो सकता है। यह बात विचारशील है। इस संसार में पुरुषार्थ ही बुद्धि को प्राप्त करना है।

Katha-Sutra:
Guru Maharaj says that we can benefit from the other person’s knowledge or intelligence. If you take someone’s wealth and if you are not capable to handle it then it will wither away in no time. If you try and bask in the other person’s glory then in some time you will become proud of your position. Wealth can be handed down through generations but intellect cannot. Ravana can be born in the sage ‘Pulastya’s’ family also.
Intelligence or knowledge can only be attained through hard work.
